Seoyoung Park

Youth Activist, Chief Editor

Seoyoung Park is the editor of Amnesty PLUS. She currently attends Saint Paul Preparatory Seoul as a freshman. Her role in the organization is to discuss social issues regarding human rights and publish them into articles. As an editor of Amnesty PLUS, she hopes to raise awareness on social issues and inspire others to participate in making positive influences on society through her writings. She is particularly keen to protect the human rights of social minorities formed by gender and racial discrimination. Outside of the organization, Seoyoung is a student who anticipates using many different platforms to communicate ideas about human rights with wider communities.

Auh Ye Lyn

Director of Youth Activists Department

Ye Lyn Auh is director of Seoul Youth Activist Department of Amnesty PLUS. She currently attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy as a freshman. Her role in the organization is to provide accurate information with articles and raise awareness on human rights. She aims to solve issues of human injustice and analyze the structure of social organizations and the changes of minorities.

Simon Son

KIS Seoul Activist Representative

Simon Son, who is currently a senior at Korea International School Pangyo, serves as one of the youth activists of Amnesty PLUS. As the youth activist, he plans to organize collective action campaigns both within and outside of school in order to not only raise social awareness of injustice and inequality but also to provide support to victims. With the purpose of addressing and promoting human rights issues, he hopes to bring positive influence on society. Outside of Amnesty PLUS, Simon is a member of Hwarang, a service group, and volunteers at Seongsimwon (an orphanage in Seongnam-si). He also organizes service hours for the members of KIS Amnesty club by working with Anna’s House, which is a major project in KIS Amnesty club. As one said “the only way, it seems to me, to turn a bad influence into a good one is by consistently being a powerful good influence yourself,” he constantly seeks to seize opportunities with which he can bring changes to society.

Evan An

Youth Activist / Communication Department

Evan An is one and only Youth Activist in KISJ. He currently attends Korea International School Jeju as a junior. His role in the organization is to help the community through active participation as a youth activist. With Amnesty PLUS, he hopes to raise awareness of international issues in order to bring the world to a brighter side where everyone fights for human rights.

Harin Moon

Youth Activist

Harin Moon is a youth activist of Amnesty PLUS. She is a sophomore at NLCS Jeju, and her interest lies in working towards awareness and equity in both local and broader communities. Some ambitions she wishes to work towards include an increased amount of service work, gaining the ability to educate others on the significance of select global matters, and being able to educate herself in the process.

Jiwoo Lee

Youth Activist

Jiwoo Lee is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS. She is currently a sophomore attending North London Collegiate School Jeju. Her goal is to make the public aware of social issues including the topics of racism, feminism, and discriminations against LGBTQ+. She strongly believes that any form of inequalities or unfairness should be eliminated and she is looking forward to participating as a member of Amnesty PLUS. Her personal interest is to watch movies and listen to music.

Hanbyeol Jang

Youth Activist

Hanbyeol Jang is a Youth Activist of Amnesty Plus. She is currently a Y10 student in North London Collegiate School Jeju. She hopes to raise awareness on human rights issues, especially about gender inequality. Her aim is to amend the public’s misconceptions about feminism and change others to people that care about existing human rights issues and are determined to change them. She dreams about a society where inequalities do not exist and everyone is equal.

Yeonwoo Kim

Youth Activist

Yeonwoo Kim is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS and she is in Y10 in North London Collegiate School Jeju. She wants to raise awareness on social issues about human rights whether it is about gender, race, or age. Her goal is to bring changes in society by informing people about the inequalities and discrimination.

Solmin Lee

Youth Activist

Solmin Lee is one of the Youth Activists of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She's in the 10th grade of GAFL, Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Language. Her present interests are women's rights and LGBTIQ issues. Her goal is to make society without any inequalities and discrimination, especially on gender.

Seung Ik Cho

Youth Activist

Seung Ik Cho is one of the members of Youth Activists of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. He attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy. With Amnesty PLUS, he hopes to focus on biological issues and social norms and raise participation of citizens. Outside of Amnesty PLUS, Seung Ik Cho is working with the activities, Youth Cultural Corps, interacting with foreigners.

June Lee

Youth Activist

June Lee is one of the members of Youth Activists of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy. She is interested in veterinary medicine and animal welfare. She wants to expose discrimination and violation of basic human rights in society.

Yeonwoo Yang

Youth Activist

Yeonwoo Yang is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She is currently a 11th grade student in Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages. Her main interests are diverse campaigns regarding human rights via social media. As a member of Amnesty PLUS, she hopes to raise awareness on security and surveillance issues and racism in the fashion industry. Her ultimate goal is to make a society where human rights are protected with justice.

Yumin (Joanne) Baek

Joanne Baek is a Youth Activist of Amnesty Plus Seoul. She is in her second year of highschool(2021) in Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages. Through Amnesty PLUS, she wishes to focus on manifestations of xenophobia and hopes to eventually reduce violation of human rights regarding this matter.

Geon Ha

Youth Activist

Geon Ha is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS, currently an Y10 in NLCS Jeju. He is interested in modern history and philosophy. As he is very concerned about the violation of human rights due to economic or political causes, he wants to raise awareness about the inequality and oppression that is happening in our community or around the globe.

Sion (Zion) Kim

Youth Activist

Sion Kim is one of the Youth Activists of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She is a 11th-grade student attending Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Language. She is interested in issues regarding the minorities in the society, especially the disabled, children, and females. Her goal is to raise the awareness of discrimination in our everyday lives, moreover, she wants to change our society into a place where people are respected for their own differences.

Boyoung Jun

Youth Activist

Boyoung Jun is one of the Youth Activists of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy. She is currently interested in human rights and equalities, especially on gender and refugee issues. Her goal is to inform people about human rights in all aspects and to eliminate any form of inequality.

Seoyoung Lee is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She is currently in a 11th grade of Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages. She is mainly interested in the matters of girls from developing countries, such as the forced marriage problem or the rights to be educated. By working as a Youth Activist, She will contribute to elevating awareness on various issues regarding human rights.

Haeun Chae

Youth Activist

Haeun Chae is a Youth Activist of Amnesty of PLUS Seoul. She is currently an 11th grade student in Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages. Her major interests are media development and international issues such as racism, gender inequality, and etc. Through Amnesty, she wishes to experience helping different people around the world, and eventually contribute to reducing discrimination in society.

Youngchae(Stephen) Kim

Youngchae is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. He attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy. He is interested in multicultural society. Through his activities as a member of Amnesty Plus, he hopes to develop an understanding of multicultural society from a broader perspective. His goal is to eliminate prejudice or negative views on multicultural families in Korean society.

Gwanyoung Ko

Gwanyoung Ko is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. He attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy(KMLA). He is interested in physics. He tries to find out ways to make a better world through the eyes of science. He pursues the value of people’s equality, regardless of gender, culture, etc.

Minju Jeong

Minju Jeong is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS Seoul. She is currently a 11th grade student in Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages. With Amnesty PLUS, she hopes to disseminate awareness of migrant women as well as refugees and wishes to ensure safety and opportunities for them.

Youngwon Yoon

Youngwon Yoon is a Youth Activist of Amnesty Plus Seoul. She currently attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy(KMLA) as freshmen. She is interested in psychology. She wants to analyze the reason and raise awareness about the problems caused by inequality and human right infringement.

Soeun Im

Youth Activist

Soeun Im is a Youth Activist of Amnesty Plus Seoul. She currently attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy(KMLA) as a freshman. She is interested in human rights and environment. With Amnesty PLUS, she wants to bring awareness about human rights violations and environmental problems.

Seoyoon Lee

Youth Activist

Seyoon Lee is one of the Youth Activists of Amnesty Plus Seoul. She currently attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy as a freshman. Her role in the organization is to take action in the current problems of human rights we are facing. She is interested in economics and human rights issues regarding sexuality and gender. With Amnesty PLUS, she wants to take part in passing the anti-discrimination law in Korea, and hopes to let minorities have their voice in economic and political issues.

Sean Lee

Youth Activist

Sean Lee is one of the new 2021-2022 officer for the Amnesty International club in KIS Pangyo Campus. His role in the club is to administer the project that the club holds with club members. With this community he hopes to share these ideas with the school community and the general community. He currently attends KIS Pangyo Campus, and Sean , outside of Amnesty, pursues other activities such as Track and Field, Science Olympiad, and Science Workshop.

Jimin Ha

Youth Activist

Jimin Ha is a Youth Activist of Amnesty PLUS. She is currently attends Korean Minjok Leadership Academy as a freshman. She hopes that the story of the marginalised class will become known to more public. As a member of Amnesty PLUS, she would try to gather attention of the people by various media. And she thinks it's honorable activity to contribute to the promotion of human rights for women, minorities and vulnerable groups.

Yeonju Kim

Youth Activist

Yeonju (Ju) Kim is one of the Youth Activist in Amnesty Plus. She Currently attends to Korea International School in Seoul as a sophomore. Yeonju's ultimate goal is to understand her role within the community and to find out how she can appropriately help others. To add on, she is interested in both learning about the Amnesty international- the club itself- and ways to support others' human rights as an individual.

Chloe Suh

Youth Activist

Chloe Suh is a Youth Activist for Amnesty PLUS. She currently attends Korea International School as a sophomore. Her role in the organization as a Youth Activist is to educate others in current problems and participate in activities in Amnesty. With Amnesty PLUS, she hopes to bring awareness to current issues and provide resources to these issues and educate others through technology and social media.
